A collection of Ancient Egyptian stories of magick and tombs and summoning the gods

Guidelines:

I want some really amazing, awe-inspiring stories for this. Give me the cream of the crop. I will take stories up to 5,000 words with no minimum requirement. If you have something longer, I may consider it if it's exceptional. Most genres, only a small amount of erotica. PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH IF YOU NEED TO! I know there may be elements that are purely fictional, but use as much truth as you can. There are many wonderful resources out there full of knowledge waiting for you. See what you can come up with... Maybe you'll find something I don't know yet. (that is sometimes hard to do) Email all submissions to briannastoddard@yahoo.com and put Incense and Perfume in the subject line. Use rtf or doc files only, I have trouble with anything else. Thank you! I look forward to seeing all your great work about my favorite part of history!

Specifics:

Single space, indent paragraphs, don't leave an extra space between paragraphs. Please put your bio at the end of the story in the manuscript. No page numbers, headers or footers, and no embedded text. Center *** for scene breaks.

I might not be able resist the urge to write something shorter for this one too... It's hard to find an Egyptian anthology so I just had to start one!

We just did an "Egyptian" prompt for our Shootout... nice that the participants have a place to submit their stories if they're so inclined!

Anybody need ideas for this? Let me know and I'll try to help you out.

I'm not using too many mummy-related stories. I already have a good one and I would like to keep strictly to the guidelines... so no more mummies please. Think of gods, magic, and daily Egyptian life. Think of burial rituals and mourning, if essential to the story. Pharaohs and queens... There could be lots of possibilities... Let me know if you're still not sure though. I'd love to help if you need me to!
