Short Story Contest!!!

I am going to be taking submissions about unicorns; tame, wild, or otherwise. Make them blue or green or rainbow if you like. Try weaving in some extra creativity into the old tales and descriptions. I would like everything to be rooted firmly in fantasy and dark fantasy for this one. I am still open to some other interesting twists though. Try to think of this one as a young adult collection, which shouldn't have sex or foul language. I would still love to offer this collection of wonderful stories to a wide age range from young to older adults so don't make them too tame. Risky and dangerous is good too. If you're not sure just ask me or send it so I can have a look at it. 2,000 to 6,000 word limit.

Email submissions/questions to briannastoddard@yahoo.com. Make sure your submissions are doc or rtf format ONLY. I cannot accept any other formats. As always, Georgia 12 pt. font and single-spaced with no headers, footers, page numbers, or special formatting. Put a short 3rd person bio at the end of your story. Be sure to send your best work. Thanks!
1st, 2nd, and 3rd place will get a free copy of the book upon publication. All others will be exposure only. Good Luck!

Thanks for being interested everyone! I love this cover better than the one I had in mind. I can't wait to see all the stories and pick the winners. It's a learning experience for me too. I want to see what it takes to pick the winners fairly and with much consideration. I am so stoked!!! :D

Well... I did it... Never in my life did I think I would be writing about unicorns...(looks down and shakes head), I'm not saying there's anything wrong with the mythical creatures but...Me!! A unicorn story! But... If it gets accepted I think everyone will understand... Grins!!

I want to stick with the deadline on this guys. The other books are still taking awhile but I want to have the stories for this in on time so I can have all the reading and the judging done by August. Thanks so much!
