Long Pig - CLOSED FOR EDITING
« Thread Started on Jan 4, 2012, 5:22pm »

http://www.staticmovement.com/projects.htm
Please come to the projects page to see this cover. As a few of you might have noticed, I'm having trouble posting the cover on the forum. Sorry folks... I'll keep trying, but I thought you might like to see it.

Guidelines:

Cannibalism, one of the last taboos, is the focus of fascination for a lot of people. What stories can you conjure for me featuring the consumption of long pig? How is the 'meat' acquired, what does your hero or heroine have to do - or go through - to get it?

Surely this is one of the ultimate horror themes, so dig out your deepest darkest thoughts and put them into a story for this anthology, which will surely be a winner with all who love their food...

For love only, sorry, can't afford to pay you but what exposure, what thrills can you get from being in an SM anthology, I ask you!
No word limits, see what you come up with. Please don't put headers on the work and please don't send me odt files, I can't open them. Send the story as an attachment to
dorothystaticm@gmail.com with Long Pig in the subject line.
Please send the story as an attachment in anything but odt. I can't always open those. Please ensure the formatting is half decent, indented paragraphs, no extra lines between the paragraphs and dialogue (I have to edit them all out) and most of all, only 1 space between words. I have had a story in where there are 2 spaces between the words, can't be doing with it! Yes, I can find and replace but it is better if it comes in right in the first place. 99% of the stories which come in are fine, I have to say, but a few are not. When there are a lot of stories waiting to be read, I will naturally go to the ones which have been sent in the proper format. It's only natural.

And let's get going on yet another superb anthology for Static Movement!

going to be several acceptances here tonight, methinks. First off, John Dromey's very funny piece of flash fiction Everybody's a (Food) Critic has been accepted.
Then there are three superb pieces of flash fiction from Ron Koppelberger, The Roast, The Beast Well Worn and A Degree of Freak. Thank you!!!!

so here I am, on a freezing cold Tuesday, developing a cold, just had lunch, totally tasteless due to said cold (but the coffee was good!) and I come back to my desk and think, what the hell, let's read Nicky Peacock's story, Starvin' Marvin so I did and I'm sitting here with a silly smile and a good feeling. Thanks, Nicky!
