Broken -DEADLINE END OF MAY 2013
« Thread Started on Jun 17, 2012, 11:50am »

Broken edited by Dorothy Davies
Cover coming soon

This is one to stretch your imagination! What is broken, what does it do to a life when that thing is broken? is the life broken? what impact does it have on those who owned it/knew it/cared about it? allow your ideas to run and see where we can go with this one!

Please send stories to dorothystaticm@gmail.com with 'broken' in the subject line.

Single spacing, please, no headers, footers or page numbers. Reprints are fine. Be sure to let me have a short bio with your story for the end of the anthology, for my Meet the Authors section. No word limit either way.

Please send the story as an attachment in anything but odt. I can't always open those. Please ensure the formatting is half decent, indented paragraphs, no extra lines between the paragraphs and dialogue (I have to edit them all out) and most of all, only 1 space between words. I have had a story in where there are 2 spaces between the words, can't be doing with it! Yes, I can find and replace but it is better if it comes in right in the first place. 99% of the stories which come in are fine, I have to say, but a few are not. When there are a lot of stories waiting to be read, I will naturally go to the ones which have been sent in the proper format. It's only natural.

Dear Dorothy

I can probably come up with another for this one. Let me know if four are to many. Live, laugh, love and have a beautiful day.

thanks! Get to it soonest. I was out yesterday, tonight I will be sitting circle (for mediumship development) but will get to you as soon as I can. Sometimes it's an oasis in the middle of a working day...
like today, with customers phoning in, where's my order, well, I didn't get to work on Friday and if they had seen the TV news and thought about it, they would have known why nothing went out ... gridlocked island due to a music festival!

The totally shocking Mending the Broken by AJ Humpage has today been accepted for this anthology, with thanks!

It's been a good day for submissions - this anthology is lagging way way behind the others, at 13,000 words, it's a good wide open theme, send me your broken stories!
