The old maps used to say HERE BE MONSTERS and clowns, to many people, are monsters in disguise. ' There's nothing as scary as a clown after dark' but I am saying there is nothing as scary as a clown any time! What goes on under the paint and wig, what is the wild costume hiding, what secrets does a clown hold behind the painted smile?
Send me your dark, dark tales of clowns on the rampage, committing mayhem and murder and all manner of unearthly and horrible deeds, let's add to the world's paranoia of clowns!
This is a for love anthology only, no copies or payment, but loads of exposure. Static Movement anthologies are getting attention everywhere, it can be nothing but good for you to be featured in them!
Do check the story over before sending it in, please, I'm getting some odd mistakes in some submissions that tell me, as an editor, it hasn't been revised before being sent out. I am quick to respond to submissions but sometimes Life gets in the way, so give me a day or so to get back to you.
Send the stories to dorothystaticm@gmail.com and put Here Be Clowns in the subject line. Please don't send me odt files, I can't read them! docx or rtf will be fine.

thanks, Chris, and here we go again, clown lovers/haters! Another collection to build of horror stories around those intriguing nasty downright vicious and hateful creatures, clowns!
Send me your best stories. I want another outstanding anthology for Static Movement. we are, between us, building a reputation for great horror/dark stories.
Don't let me down!
(Oh, a small hint if you are stuck for ideas, my daughter thinks clowns are horrifically scary but people on stilts are even more scary, so combine the two and you are looking at all out freakiness!)

lots of interest, emails coming in, people thinking about their clown nightmares and getting ready to put them into story form. I am one happy editor/bunny! I have to say I l o v e editing the clown anthologies... the first one was pure delight - to a horror writer/editor - to work on. I just know this one will be the same.

I think it will be the same cover, Julie, to save costs and have continuity. I think the cover is scary enough to stand being out there again! Certainly my daughter freaked out when she saw it!
