I’m looking for flash fiction and poetry based on colors. These colors can be either be vital parts of the stories they’re telling or just act as themes in the background- for example, I’d accept a poem named “Black” about the vast emptiness of space or a stylish Noir story named “Black”. Be creative!
Each story has to be named after the color it represents, and there can only be one story for each color. Here’s a reference, in case writer’s block hits you really hard: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_colors
Guidelines:
Send stories of up to 1000 words and poems of up to 30 lines. Reprints and multiple submissions are fine. Stories can be in any genre except erotica (because I’m not 18).
Send all submissions to superjake3@comcast.net with Colors somewhere in the Subject line. Attach the story to your email as a .rtf file.
Formatting: Your story must be single spaced, indenting each paragraph, with the title, your name, the story or poem, and then your bio at the end. Don’t indent the first paragraph or use headers, footers, page numbers, embedded text, or spaces between paragraphs. This collection is open until filled, and it’s For the Love, so no submitter will be paid or given free copies.
