And I Swear This Is True . . .
An Anthology of Urban Legends edited by George Wilhite
I am looking for stories either inspired by existing urban legends or new ones of your own creation. My only requirement is that they are SCARY. Leave me disturbed, wondering if your tale is true, leaving the lights on when I finish your submission.
Send submissions to geojazz@sbcglobal.net with “Urban Legends” in the subject line. Send the story as an attachment—Word doc or rtf.
Please send only one story at a time.
No minimum word count—flash would probably work well for this one.
I prefer stories up to 5000 words, but will consider any length. Please query if your story is longer than 6000 words.
Reprints are fine as long as you hold all the publication rights.
FORMAT:
Please send submissions like this: Title, name, content, bio. The bio must be at the end of the story in the manuscript. Single space, indented paragraphs, no space between paragraphs. Scene breaks should be shown with a CENTERED ***

Alice--you can research a legend if you like but making it all up works also as long as it has the urban legend flavor, like Bloody Mary, etc.
