we have the same problem sometimes, that is, 'we' being my business. If someone says a parcel of 14 books shipped to New York from here haven't arrived, what do we do? replace.

I have ordered Carnival and Monster Behind The Mask from Book Depository UK, thanks to the tipoff from Steven Gepp. I will be keeping a watch on them as well as Amazon. The good thing is, B Depository don't charge for postage, a definite bonus.

My mistake on Weird City 3, I have just sent them to Pill Hill, I think./we think/ I might never have gotten them sent to her to get them done and on Amazon. Sorry all, it's going to be about a week then they should be there.

as long as we know, Chris.

Still no sign of WC3 at Amazon. Slightly troubling (especially since my newest novel The Circle of Light is out now on Amazon and just four days after I approved the proof copy with CreateSpace), but I hope the third installment appears soon enough. I'm anxious to buy a copy.

I don't get why some books show up sooner than others at amazon. Definitely irritating.
Will look for your novel on amazon, John.

Another thing Amazon can be slow about is cover images on a book's page or author page listing it. Unfinished Business finally has a cover displayed on my page but it took a while. I'll keep an eye out for Weird City 3 as well, George.

Don't forget though that there was a problem and I had to resend this. Amazon should have it within the next two weeks. Sometimes things happen. Sorry, but really, soon everyone.

Weird City #3 just popped up on AMAZON

Don't worry that it needs a picture. Amazon is always slow with the images.
Don't worry that it is marked "out of stock"... again, that's Amazon's problem and not reality.
All of Amazon's quirks have been said before.

thanks, Dave. I have given up waiting on Amazon.co.uk and now wait until there are two anthologies on offer on the .com one, then I get free shipping! I have to wait but really, the time factor is the same as waiting for co.uk to get the books listed. My bookshelves are looking impressive and I am dead keen to get this one. I just ordered Dark Dispatches and The Morgue. Waiting on both of those.

I put the cover up, hope you all can see it.

I ordered a copy along with nine other books from SM, PHP and WEP, but Weird City 3 was still listed as "out of stock" then and Amazon is shipping it separately.

I don't know why they do that, a POD book is never 'in stock' in the first place, so it cannot be 'out of stock'. Sheesh, Amazon.

just wrote to an author yesterday to say no, it isn't out of stock (one of mine) it's the way Amazon do things!

Don't think that AMAZON is in any way the brightest bulb in the room.
Sometimes it's merely a 3 watt dim... That's a nearly burnt out nightlight...

I received an email at 1:21 AM (Eastern time) that said they estimated the delivery to be June 20 to June 26.
I received a subsequent email at 10:51 AM (EST) that said delivery was moved up to June 12.
OK!
I received a third email at 4:51 PM (EST) of that said my copy was shipped and would arrive June 8. That's my requested 2 day shipping.

So remember, AMAZON gets a little goofy with POD books.
I think they put this on the wrong shelf for a day OR the computer geeks didn't talk to the shipping geeks didn't talk to the guy in the warehouse where all the products are kept.

And there's not a D*** thing we can do about it. Grin and bear it.

they are crazy, for sure, even when it comes to listing the anthologies on the author profile. I was told a while ago by one Amazon person that they did not list anthologies. I argued, it was listed.
